Why Rest is Important

Sometimes we forget to rest because we feel like we can still do activities or movements just because we do not feel beat. However, resting is important because if you do not rest, it could lead to things like letting our body be on the fight or flight mode, which increases the cortisol levels in our body, or suffering from a brain fog or be less productive, or letting our muscles not fully recover and be restored.

In this podcast, I will give you an idea of the things I do when I need to rest. I keep a list of activities related to resting so I can choose what is the best option for when I need to rest from the different activities I did, either mentally or physically.

In this episode we discuss:

[0:25] The strenuous activities I recently did

[1:05] Why Rest is important

[1:20] Sympathetic Nervous System

[2:35] Brain Fog

[3:00] The most important time to prioritize rest

[4:35] Introduction to Activities for Resting

[5:20] Importance of the list of activities
